The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Donald Stevens can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolences

Condolence From: John Hughes
Condolence: So sad to hear that Don has taken his last voyage. My sincere condolences to all of his family.
Don was one of the finest shipmates to be had, and will be remembered by all who had the good fortune to sail with him. He cooked for myself and the crew for many years and on many different ships, always serving up a laugh and great food when the meal hour came.

Condolence From: Annette Morash & David Slipp
Condolence: So very sorry to hear of Donnie's passing. He was such a wonderful man and a great chef! He and Elaine were neighbors for a number of years. The door was always open and there was always a pot of tea simmering at "Nanny" Elaine's (as the kids knew her). Donnie's scallops on the barbecue were an experience!! A man of few words, but when Donnie was feeling chatty, the conversation was always an interesting one! Lots of great memories with Donnie and Nanny Elaine. They were a great couple and are now together once again. Much love being sent to Suzie, Trish, Nadine and your families.
