Obituary for Loyall Miller

Loyall Miller
Loyall Carl “Toar” Miller
84, of Upper Tantallon passed away, surrounded by love on Friday May 5, 2017 in Ivany Place, Hammonds Plains. Born in Upper Tantallon he was the son of the late Albert and Mildred (Boutilier) Miller. Toar enjoyed working at Nova Scotia Power so much that he rarely missed a day in 38 years. He loved playing his sport, whether it was baseball, hockey, fishing or golf. He was an active member of the Tantallon Centennial ball club. When he was not playing his sport, he was in his garden growing every vegetable known to man. He worked hard to provide for his family who meant the world to him. Toar loved to be at home near the water spending time with his kids and grandkids. Survived by his son, David (Jeanette), Bayside; daughters, Carolyn (Paul Cox) Briggs, Dartmouth; Sandie (Dana Maxwell), Lawrencetown; grandchildren, Darcy (Daniela), Telkwa, B.C.; Grant, Bayside; Ashley (Robert Sanford) Briggs and Emma Briggs, both of Dartmouth. Predeceased by his wife, Phyllis; brother, Harold; sisters, Glenna and Adele Sawler and a brother Lemuel in infancy. The family will receive visitors 6-8 on Wednesday May 10 and Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Thursday May 11 both in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy’s Cove Road, Upper Tantallon. Burial will follow in family cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Nova Scotia Alzheimer’s Society or Parkinson’s Society. A special thanks to the staff at Ivany Place, Seaside Cove unit for all their loving care and support over the years. Online condolences can be made to www.rawalker.ca
