Obituary for Natalie McRae

Natalie McRae
Natalie Eva McRae
It is with great sadness that the family of Natalie Eva McRae announces her sudden passing, at the tender age of 56, on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Natalie was born to Harold and Elizabeth (Beaver) McRae on Good Friday, March 31, 1961. Natalie will be lovingly remembered by her only son, Joshua (Alicia), her grandson, Kenyon, and her father Harold Sr. She will be dearly missed by her sister Dolores (Jeff) Boutilier and brothers, Harold Jr. and Arnold (Mary), her nieces , Stefanie (Peter), Michellene and Ashley, her nephews David (Heidi), Jerome (Michelle), Nicholas (Laura) and Mitchell. Natalie’s proudest moment was becoming a grandmother and she so looked forward to the birth of her second grandson in June. She loved spending time with Max and Iris and held dear her other great nieces and nephews as well as her four-legged family, Sheeba and Coco. Natalie was predeceased by her mother Elizabeth. Natalie was involved in her church and fully embraced coming back into her faith. She belonged to the SMB White Caps and was a member of I.O.O.F., M.U., Acadia District, from Juvenile Member through adulthood, until its closing. She loved to cook, play solitaire, solve crossword puzzles and host/attend any family gatherings. She worked for DND in Food Services for 34 years until her recent retirement. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday May 23rd in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, 13549 Peggy’s Cove Road, Upper Tantallon. Her funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday May 24 from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 10030 Peggy’s Cove Road, Hackett’s Cove, with Rev. Andrew Cooke officiating. Interment will follow in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Those who so desire may make memorial donations to St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Indian Harbour or the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
