Dorothy Covey-Allen
94, formerly of Hackett’s Cove, It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, sister and nan on her son’s birthday on Monday, February 26, 2018 in Sagewood Nursing Home, Lower Sackville surrounded by the love her family. She will be sadly missed by family and friends. Dot was born in Glen Margaret she was the daughter of the late James and Bernice Redmond. She will always be remembered by her sense of humour and wit which she displayed until the end. Her family and friends were most important to her and she loved to cook for them. Survived by her daughters, Sharon (Rick) Mallory; Bonnie (Terry) Doyle; grandchildren, Shari (Rob), Greg (Kim) and Lyndsay (Ken); sisters, Shirley Mollison; Lillian (Ted) Ritchie; brothers, Gerald Redmond; Wayne (Alice) Redmond; she is also survived by four great grandchildren along with Cliff’s family.
Predeceased by her first husband Wilfred Covey and second husband, Cliff Allen; son, Kevin. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3rd in St. Peters Anglican Church, Hackett’s Cove. Rev. Andrew Cooke officiating. Burial to follow in church cemetery. We would like to thank Mom’s family at the Sagewood who went above and beyond to care for Mom. We don’t have enough words to express how much we appreciate all they have done for Mom and for us, her family.
